This summer, the 119th U.S. Open returns to what is arguably its most glorious host venue – Pebble Beach Golf Links. Set on California’s stunning Monterey Peninsula, we can arrange exclusive access to the championship before flying north to Napa Valley for the ultimate in golf & wine, with a tee time at Sonoma's private Mayacama Country Club and behind-the-scenes access to Napa’s best wineries.
People often ask how we have such an encyclopaedic knowledge of the world we share. Travelling extensively to all corners of the globe not only gives us firsthand knowledge to report back on, but also the chance to meet like-minded adventurers, artists, explorers and entrepreneurs along the way – people who, like us, think beyond borders and imagine the unimaginable.
To design memorable and meaningful travel experiences, we work with an intricate network who live and breathe the places they call home. It’s not just a breathtaking location that inspires us, it is also the people behind it who really help bring the experience to life.
Tucked away along Southern California’s Pacific Coast Highway, Nobu Ryokan’s unassuming wooden doors slide open to reveal a serene, exclusive escape that effortlessly blends Malibu’s famed Carbon Beach with a luxurious Japanese hideaway. Combining California’s stunning oceanfront setting with Japanese Zen-like minimalist interiors, Nobu’s beautiful boutique hotel takes inspiration from the simplistic aesthetic of a traditional ryokan with smooth textures of polished teak, bronze and limestone, which are accented with Japanese soaking tubs, tatami mats and shoji screens.
Meet Alex Thomson, aka "James Bond of the ocean". As a yachtsman and racer, he broke his own record of the fastest solo circumnavigation of the globe in a monohull. After 74 days, 19 hours and 35 minutes, Alex reached the finish line of the Vendée Globe in January 2017. An outstanding accomplishment made even more extraordinary by the fact that his boat suffered potentially race-ending damage after just 13 days at sea, but even this major setback didn't stop him finishing the race as the fastest Brit ever and securing second place. Ahead of his next attempt to win the 26,000-mile, single-handed, non-stop, round-the-world race (not surprisingly dubbed the "Everest of sailing") we have had a chance to catch up with Alex and get a glimpse of what inspires and continues to motivate him to take to the high seas...
Deep in the Rocky Mountains, Colorado’s Wild West offers mighty mountains for adventure-seekers and nature-lovers alike. Living life as a cowboy at Dunton Hot Springs, Zapata Ranch and Chico Basin in south Colorado are the best places to blend luxury and authenticity in the Wild West.
More than 100 years since the sinking of RMS Titanic, we are thrilled to share the opportunity for a limited number of travellers to be part of an epic experience to rediscover the most famous shipwreck in history. Commencing in 2019, the 8-day journey which we are developing with our partners OceanGate Inc, will take just 9 adventurers at a time from the coast of Newfoundland, Canada on a deep ocean discovery to the Titanic.
This is a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience and an expedition designed only for those with an adventurous spirit. Far fewer people have visited the wreck of the Titanic than the number who have been to space or summited Mt. Everest.
From South Africa's newest luxury hotel opening to the stunning setting of Amangiri in Utah - the announcement that Diébédo Francis Kéré is behind this year’s Serpentine Gallery Pavilion inspired us to curated an edit of our favourite, most architecturally impressive hotels.
Whilst the island is firmly French, there are hints of Swedish influence most noticeable in the harbour capital of Gustavia. Add sailing, blissful sandy beaches and sunsets to the mix, and it's easy to fall for the Creole charm of St Barths.
