Why Costa Rica is the next yacht hotspot

For the adventure seekers and first-movers amongst us, we may be hard pushed to find a more perfect destination than Costa Rica. With 800 miles of unspoilt Pacific Coastline you can enjoy a morning’s entertainment from a mega-pod of mischievous spinner dolphins. While on land, discover dense forests, untamed rivers, breathtaking waterfalls and of course, even more flora & fauna.

The beauty of exploring Costa Rica from the water is the access to the untouched. The North Pacific Coast offers unmatched views, abundant marine life and incredible diving opportunities. Guanacaste is one of the least populated areas of Costa Rica, and home to the enchanting dry forest for those seeking some time on terra firma. Meanwhile, the South Pacific Coast offers glistening rainforests and the rugged beauty of the Osa Peninsula – proudly holding the enviable title of “one of the most biologically intense places on Earth” by National Geographic.

And finally, 300 miles southwest off the Costa Rican coast, lies an uninhabited island and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Dense with jungle and framed by a kaleidoscopic underwater world, the renowned Cocos Island is the crown jewel of Costa Rica's numerous National Parks. Hailed as one of the world’s best diving spots, the deep blue waters of Cocos are also considered the most shark-populated on Earth… but don’t let that deter you! The island’s unmissable waters are also home to giant manta rays, sailfish and the world’s largest aggregations of near-threatened silky sharks.
