Join WildAid in South Africa

We are thrilled to be sharing one of our favourite parts of the planet with our pioneering philanthropic partner, WildAid, on an adventure like no other through South Africa taking place in June 2020. Hosted by WildAid’s founders Corie & Peter Knights, join us on a truly memorable journey from the amber-hued Kalahari Desert to the endless horizons of the iconic Sabi Sand Game Reserve.

Our journey will begin in the vibrant city of Johannesburg before flying by private jet to Tswalu – one of the most magical settings in all of Africa, and South Africa’s largest private game reserve with conservation at its core. Enjoy safaris by jeep or on horseback and be immersed in conservation projects pioneered by the Oppenheimer family as they continue to restore South Africa’s last great wilderness. We will continue onwards to Singita’s Ebony Lodge – the original Singita in South Africa situated on a 45,000 acre privately-owned game reserve in the Sabi Sand and home to the big five. Here you can get close to Africa's incredible flora & fauna with daily game drives, guided walks and a behind-the-scenes visit to Singita’s dedicated anti-poaching canine unit tasked with protecting critically endangered species, including rhino.

The final stop will be to explore Singita’s Lebombo Lodge with sweeping views across its vast setting. Over the next few days, explore the richly diverse habitat of Kruger National Park, which is teeming with wildlife including leopard, famously large prides of lion, both white & black rhino, and meet with the conservation experts who are working tirelessly to protect this incredible part of our planet.

Tswalu Kalahari

Tswalu is located in South Africa’s largest private game reserve, with a dedicated team protecting over 270,000 ares of spectacular grasslands and mountains in the Kalahari Desert. Be amazed at the abundance of wildlife on game drives and horse rides and gain insights on the research projects of the Tswalu Foundation, including studies of rare pangolins thriving on the reserve, under the guidance of a conservation expert.

Singita’s Ebony Lodge

Set amongst enormous trees on the banks of the Sand River in the heart of South Africa’s big cat country, Singita’s Ebony Lodge is an idyllic retreat, combining a luxurious tented camp with bush lodge style. Here you will get close to Africa's incredible wildlife with daily game drives and guided walks through the Sabi Sand game reserve, with the opportunity to witness modern conservation in action as we join the anti-poaching canine units on field excursions.

Singita’s Lebombo Lodge

Suspended high above the N’wanetsi River, the dramatic cliffside setting of Singita Lebombo’s contemporary glass-walled suites ensures inimitable views of the world-renowned Kruger National Park. Surrounded by Singita’s 33,000-acre private concession in the park, the lodge boasts communal areas that extend seamlessly into rocky outcrops dotted with giant euphorbia trees.
